SATS handles Air Canada flights to Singapore

Air Canada has selected SATS to provide handling services for flights from Vancouver to Singapore.

SATS will provide passenger, ramp and cargo services for the new service which touched down at Singapore’s Changi International Airport today (Thursday 4 April).

The service leaves Vancouver at 0.05h on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and arrives at 7.10h the next day.

The return flight leaves Singapore at 9.10h on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, arriving at 8.55h.

The Boeing 787-9 flights are the only non-stop service between Canada and Singapore, and the first time Air Canada has flown to Singapore for over 30 years.

SATS handles all the Star Alliance partners in Singapore so Air Canada customers will benefit from passenger and cargo connections to other airports in the region.

Bob Chi, CEO, Gateway Services at SATS, said: “This is another significant business win for SATS Group at Changi Airport, reinforcing the good and longstanding partnership with Air Canada as a major customer of WFS. Air Canada and its customers will benefit from our combination of operational excellence and global network connectivity.”
