SATS and Sinoair to collaborate on strategic projects

SATS and Sinotrans Air Freight (Sinoair) have signed agreements for ground and cargo handling services, which includes setting up gateway hubs.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Bob Chi, CEO of Gateway Services at SATS and Liu Yong, Managing Director of Sinotrans Air Freight.

The companies will set up gateway hubs for Sinotrans in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Belgium.

They are in discussions for SATS to manage Sinotrans’ e-commerce hub in Hangzhou, China which is expected to be ready in 2026.

Chi said: “We look forward to working with Sinoair to leverage our respective networks to give customers even better global network connectivity to and from China, which has one of the world’s fastest growing air transportation sectors, to cities worldwide.”

Yong added: “Sinoair and SATS work together to provide customers with superior operational services. We look forward to working with SATS to further strengthen global air transport capabilities through our extensive network resources.”
