RwandAir, the national flag carrier of the Republic of Rwanda, has been awarded IATA’s Safety Audit for Ground Operations.
The certification follows an audit conducted on RwandAir’s ground operations in July this year by Wake QA, an IATA approved audit organisation. The audit was concluded with minimal findings and observations and the accreditation will be valid for two years.
RwandAir CEO John Mirenge said that with the achievement, “RwandAir will provide enhanced ground handling services with high safety standards to its customer airlines and private jets operating at Kigali International Airport, while maximizing productivity.”
“The pursuit of the ISAGO certification, in addition to the existing IOSA certification, confirms RwandAir’s commitment to the industry best practices in operational safety to aworld class level,” he concluded.
