Swissport Australia has been appointed the preferred ground services partner for Qantas in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
After many weeks of media speculation, Qantas has finally made a decision on its ground handling requirements. The outsourcing review, according to the carrier, has focussed on safety, operational performance, cost, experience and financial viability and involved ramp services and fleet presentation at ten Australian airports.
Swissport emerged as the prime candidate and will now support Qantas at 20 airports within Australia.
