Bengaluru will soon see a new venture by Decor Aviation take off. The company will be launching a new airline under the brand name Air Pegasus, which will begin operations by mid-February 2015.
The Bengaluru-based ground handling company, Decor Aviation Private (part of the Decor group of companies that provides ground handling services to Indian and foreign carriers across 11 airports in India) will service the carrier to the tune of Rs40-50 crore, along with a loan of Rs20 crore from the Canara Bank.
This is only the second low cost airline launch that Bengaluru has seen since Air Deccan, India's first low cost carrier, more than a decade ago.
