New ownership plan for Hitzinger

GSE Focus
After some months of speculation, the future of Austria-based Hitzinger has now been made clear.

The management and Dörflinger-Group are to take over the running of the Linz-based ground power manufacturer which ran into financial difficulties late in 2018.

Hitzinger, which has been producing and distributing ground power units, gensets and alternators for decades, has confirmed its new ownership structure. The insolvency administrator awarded the contract to the investors, Dietmar Pfeiffer, the Dörflinger-Group, as well as to the two previous Hitzinger authorised signatories, namely Daniel Huber and Jochen Philipp, in the course of an asset deal.

Over the next three years a restructuring process will be implemented, which includes the strengthening of core competences, optimisation programmes and the introduction of updated management systems.
