Ground handler Menzies Aviation has appointed Mervyn Walker to the Group’s senior management team as EVP Operations Support.
Walker has over 30 years’ experience in the ground handling industry and returns to the Group after four years consulting on various of projects and initiatives in the sector. Prior to this, he spent 14 years at Menzies occupying a number of senior positions.
Walker will work closely with Interim Chief Executive Giles Wilson and focus on operational discipline, cost control and productivity.
Menzies continues to pursue plans to grow its business both organically and through acquisitions.
The short-term focus to develop new business and improve margins, leveraging customer relationships and its position as an industry leader in safety and security.
