Menzies has become the exclusive headline sponsor of the Cargo Zone and will deliver a headline presentation on selecting the right KPIs for your cargo handling operations.

Meanwhile, TIACA, the only organisation representing all segments of the air freight supply chain, has been named an industry strategic partner for the Cargo Zone.
Vladimir Zubkov, Secretary General, TIACA said: “I welcome the Cargo Zone objectives to discover tools and techniques to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of air cargo. This coincides with the objectives of TIACA for the enhancement of ground handling services. We already have developed and happy to share a tool called CSQ for Cargo Service Quality which is capable of helping members of both organizations in achieving their goals.”
GHI’s Cargo Zone will focus on sharing ground service excellence across the aviation supply chain and is aimed at specialist cargo operators as well as ground handlers who perform the final load-plan only.
Max Gosney, Conference Chairman at GHI said: “Cargo is a core component of today’s aviation business mix. The Cargo Zone will explore what it takes to ensure the safe, efficient and on-time movement of cargo from the warehouse gate to the final loading of ULDs and pallets onto the aircraft.”
The Cargo Zone will comprise a dedicated area of the showfloor at the Annual Conference and include a workshop theatre, cargo supplier stands and additional meeting opportunities with cargo procurement teams at airlines.
The launch of the Cargo Zone follows GHI research showing more than 60% of attendees at the Annual GHI Conference had a business remit in cargo and would value dedicated advice on developing this area of their operation.
