Mallaghan launches all-electric Arbus

Green Scene
Mallaghan has launched its all-electric Arbus, which has completed successful trial with ABM Aviation.

The bus can carry between 100 and 118 passengers, and has a 250kW Automated Magnet Motor with battery capacity available between 63 and 315kWh.

It has solid state batteries requiring no maintenance, five battery configurations to suit different airport sizes, and the batteries do not require a cooling system.

For charging, no high demands are placed on the electrical network, no major investments are required for charging infrastructure, and opportunity charging and an onboard charger are available.

Owen McKenna, Sales Director at Mallaghan says: “We are delighted to formally launch the all-electric Árbus i-tec following its successful trials with ABM in the UK, and to be supporting the wider aviation industry on its journey to Net-Zero.”

He adds: “The all-electric Árbus has the longest battery range of any airport bus on the European market and can be easily charged with existing infrastructure at airports. The flexible battery capacity makes the bus suitable for use at smaller regional airports or major hubs.”
