JBT Corporation has announced that it is to acquire Aircraft Maintenance Support Services.
AMSS, a family-owned and run manufacturer of GSE, which is based in Wales in the UK, is known to have a strong presence in the field of military sales.
"AMSS provides our AeroTech segment a focused strategic investment that will enhance our military offerings and provide us with expanded access to foreign militaries with our existing products," commented Tom Giacomini, JBT's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, on the takeover.
The purchase price is put at £10m (before customary post-closing adjustments) and the transaction is expected to finalise during the third quarter of 2017.
