In line with growing global concern over the levels of carbon dioxide emissions, Iberia Airport Services has been changing the composition of its GSE fleets.

In all, Iberia Airport Services deploys a fleet in excess of 8,500 units of equipment for provision of its services and, during the past three years, it has replaced more than 60% of these vehicles.
Today, some 39% of the ground vehicles it uses are now electric-powered, which has permitted it to reduce CO2 emissions significantly. In order to supply these vehicles with the necessary infrastructure, Iberia has installed electric battery recharging stations in three airports, namely Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao.
