IAG Cargo's EuroConnector service increases capacity

Cargo Matters
IAG Cargo is boosting its German cargo capacity by 18% compared to 2014.

An additional 47 direct flights from Barcelona into key European cities will serve to enhance IAG Cargo's EuroConnector service by providing customers with more diverse options for shipping goods into, around and out of Europe. The extra capacity will also be used to connect to Madrid and from there to Latin American destinations, establishing an essential trade route for businesses wishing to link with these high-growth markets.

By the end of May, the new capacity will be introduced on Vueling's narrow-body aircraft travelling from Düsseldorf, Hannover, Stuttgart, Berlin Tegel and Hamburg into Barcelona. Munich and Frankfurt will join this list later on in 2015.

Chris Nielen, Regional Commercial Manager Europe at IAG Cargo, commented: "This significant enhancement to our short-haul capacity out of Germany will provide customers with new options for intra-European trade and by connecting through our Madrid and London hubs, for international trade."
