The airline has just been granted The World's Most Punctual Airline award by OAG, a UK-based research company. To achieve this airBaltic, the flag carrier, achieved a punctuality rating of 90.01% for its flights in 2017. During the award ceremony, Havaş' Latvia Station Manager, Simons Zitcers, was presented a Certificate of Appreciation by airBaltic.
Havaş General Manager, Kürşad Koçak, commented: "We have been providing a full range of ground handling services such as passenger services, ramp and flight operations to airBaltic since 2010, the year we started our operations at Riga airport.
