Global reports this progress in spite of an adverse year, which has seen the aviation sector hard hit by the global pandemic.
Relates Global's SVP – Sales & Business Development, Kevin Knudsen, "For Global, in a matter of weeks our revenue fell by 75% resulting in job loss, employee concessions and station closures. Fortunately, with the assistance of government funded programmes in the US and Canada we were able to recall most staff and reinstate salaries.
"During this slow period, we took advantage of the time and commenced our journey towards ISAGO certification. We had our first in a series of audits in Q1 and are planning for ISAGO certification in Q3 which is exciting for our company and customers," he says.
"We are also delighted to share that in the past 12 months we continued to attract new customers including our first full-service widebody airline, Korean Airlines at Vancouver International airport. Other significant awards include the dual ramp station awards of British Airways at Vancouver airport and Montréal-Trudeau International airport and Turkish Airlines full service at Vancouver. We also opened two new stations, Halifax Stanfield International with the award of Air Canada Express RON cleans and Portland International airport with the full-service award of Allegiant Airlines. We have another large award which we look forward to sharing in the next few weeks," reports Knudsen.
"Global would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers and suppliers for their ongoing support as we work together to reopen the skies."
