Delegates will have the chance to see Celebi’s operation and learn how the handler is addressing employee engagement and the adoption of new technology to drive OTP.
The tour will mark the culmination of a two-day conference exploring how aviation business leaders can boost business performance through smarter employee engagement, resource planning and the adoption of new technology..
Day One will feature traditional case study-led presentations from aviation stakeholders on topics including recruitment and retention; harnessing employee innovation; Just Culture; and planning and scheduling. On Day Two, delegates will be transported to Istanbul airport, which opened in October 2018, to see the theory in practice.
Max Gosney, GHI Conference Chairman, said: “It’s great to hear about how someone has gone about tackling the common operational challenges through facts, slides and figures… But, it adds another dimension to go and actually see some of those activities being carried out in the flesh. We’re hugely excited about taking a tour of Celebi’s operation at the new Istanbul airport and continuing the Leaders Academy’s mission to help our delegates achieve world-class ground handling services.”
The Leaders Academy was launched in 2018 at London Heathrow in light of GHI research showing soaring skills shortages and attrition levels within the ground handling industry.
