Gerry's dnata has launched services at three new airports in Pakistan: Multan International in May, Quetta International in June and Faisalabad International in July, investing over US$4m to further its position in the industry in the country. In the process of expanding at these three locations, the subsidiary expects to increase its staff by 140 employees.
"This expansion will help the industry continue to grow and meet the needs of the travel and cargo communities," commented Vice President Gerry's dnata, Syed Haris Raza. He went on to say:
"Our new locations add cargo capacity, passenger handling capabilities and create new jobs — a good thing for the industry and the economy."
dnata President Gary Chapman has reportedly said that the company is looking to acquire airport operations in Europe and the Americas, having recently completed a deal to acquire handling operations at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport.
