Gapura Airport Services benefits from INFORM technology

Tech Talk
Gapura Airport Services has decided to put in place an Operational Control System at 23 Indonesian airports to enhance its technological capabilities.

The company has chosen INFORM to implement a resource management system for the entire operation, ranging from solutions for demand planning, resource allocation and mobile communication through to GSE management and turnaround monitoring, amongst other functions.

IT services provider PT Aero Systems Indonesia, (Asyst), which is a Garuda affiliate, signed the contract with INFORM in October last year. The first phase of the project is now underway, with INFORM handling the system implementation at Jakarta’s Soekarno–Hatta International airport. Meanwhile, the Asyst project team will be trained and enabled to carry out the second phase, which will be the system roll-out to all remaining airports. For this, Asyst has designed a special Web page to keep its employees updated on the progress of the GOCS project. Once the project is complete, a total of about 5,000 employees will be supported and managed with the help of the system. About 1,800 of them are located at the Soekarno–Hatta International airport pilot operation.
