Escape Lounge to open in Greenville-Spartanburg International airport

An Escape Lounge will open in the Greenville-Spartanburg International airport, South Carolina, this October, with a menu designed by Rick Erwin Dining Group.

Lounges are premium, common-use airport lounges open to all guests: a concept taken to the US from the UK by MAG USA, which will invest more than US$1m in the 2,500-square-foot space at Greenville-Spartanburg.

“The Escape Lounge is a great fit for GSP because of the high number of business travellers that utilize the airport, and this is one of the most-requested services that we don’t offer today,” said Scott Carr, Greenville-Spartanburg airport district’s VP Commercial Business and Communications. “We’re looking forward to opening the lounge on Oct. 22, and we know that it will be widely received by the traveling public based on the quality that Escape Lounges are known for around the country.”

Guests will pay US$45 to enter the lounge, which will entitle them to unlimited amenities, including hot and cold food, bar service, a variety of comfortable seating options with plenty of power outlets; high-speed internet, newspapers, and flight information.

Other US Escape Lounge locations currently include Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport, Oakland International airport, Bradley International airport and Reno-Tahoe International airport; several more are in the planning stages.
