Air Canada opens Maple Leaf Lounge at Newark International airport

Air Canada announced on October 14 that it has opened its newest Maple Leaf Lounge at Newark Liberty International airport.

The new lounge becomes Air Canada's third in the US and can be found located beyond security near the Air Canada gates, giving eligible Air Canada and Star Alliance customers a calm environment to relax or work prior to their flight. Thanks to its convenient location, close to the Air Canada departure gates, customers can easily board their flights directly after leaving the lounge.

Benjamin Smith, President - Passenger Airlines at Air Canada, commented on the motivation behind the new facility. “We recognise that business and premium customers have additional requirements, including the need for a quiet place to work while travelling, and our new Maple Leaf Lounge is designed with this in mind. The new lounge also complements our Boeing 787 Newark-Vancouver service featuring our Business Class – Transcontinental product, with lie flat suites in Business Class.”

Air Canada also operates two other Maple Leaf Lounges, located in New York City at LaGuardia airport and at Los Angeles International airport. The latest lounge at Newark offers customers refreshments, complimentary wi-fi and work facilities, including free-of-charge printing capabilities, all offered within a relaxed and quiet club-like atmosphere.

Air Canada's newest addition to its three-strong fleet of lounges further strengthens its position as the leading carrier operating between Canada and the New York City region.
