Ground handling provider dnata has significantly expanded its operations at Washington Dulles International airport.

Having been awarded a three-year contract by Lufthansa Group, the company invested US$4m in equipment and hired 125 aviation staff to its team to provide dedicated support and best-in-class services to its newest airline customers and their passengers at the airport.

Starting in November, dnata will deliver both ground and passenger handling, aircraft cleaning and de-icing services for four airlines of the airline group, including Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines, which will operate up to a total of six flights a day from Dulles airport.
