Çelebi awarded handling licence in Bengaluru

Çelebi announced today (June 5) that it has been awarded the ground handling licence by Kempegowda International airport in Bengaluru.

The ten-year concession is due to commence this August and will reportedly see Çelebi invest US$7-9m in the airport, as part of its commitment to providing state-of-the-art passenger and aircraft handling at BIAL.

Çelebi CEO - India, Murali Ramachandran, said: “This partnership is an important step towards strengthening our presence and commitment in the India market and comes on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of our India operations. We are focused on expanding our footprint within the country and stand committed to catalysing the growth story of the Indian aviation sector.”
