CHAMP Cargosystems has been selected by Cathay Pacific to provide the carrier's new cargo IT platform after a six-month design phase.
The changeover to the new technology will replace Cathay's old in-house system, introduced back in the 1980s, and will facilitate improvement in customer service, efficiency and productivity in the carrier's cargo sector.
John Johnston, Chief Executive of CCS, commented: "We are delighted to partner with Cathay Pacific to further its ambitions in the air logistics market."
The Hong Kong-based airline is equally enthused about the potential of the new partnership. James Woodrow, Director Cargo of Cathay Pacific Airways, said: "The new technology will support the continued growth of our airline and help to meet the expanding expectations of our cargo customers."
