Cartwright GSE delivers first order

Cartwright Group has delivered its first ground support vehicle following its acquisition of Emtek Services last year.

The scissor lift vehicle, built on an Iveco Eurocargo 18 tonne chassis, raises up to a height of six metres. It was delivered to CCS Services at Manchester airport to lift aircraft cleaning teams from the tarmac to the cabin.

Its dry freight box and bridge was designed and manufactured at Cartwright’s 38-acre manufacturing facility in Altrincham. The panels were made with the company’s new £1.8m panel press.

Having delivered its first vehicle under the new Cartwright GSE banner, the company is looking forward to building on Emtek’s reputation as a global GSE provider.

Mark Cartwright, Group Managing Director of Cartwright Group, said: “I am delighted that CCS Services has selected Cartwright GSE to supply it with a new aircraft GSE vehicle.

“This is an exciting new venture for Cartwright and a great fit with our pedigree of innovative engineering design and manufacturing.

“Cartwright GSE will play a significant role in our exporting strategy and expansion plans and continue to develop a reputation across the globe.”

As well as an established UK-based client list, Cartwright Group already exports trailers to Chile, United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Germany and Australia.
