Boeing Shanghai signs maintenance contract with Transaero

Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services announced March 19 the signing of a maintenance agreement with Russia-based Transaero Airlines for its Boeing 767 fleet.

Subsequently, Boeing Shanghai has secured ?all 767 operators in Russia as heavy maintenance customers. The first Transaero 767 was inducted for a C-check in late January, undergoing an extensive check of the aircraft's systems and components which can take several days to perform.

"In our opinion, Boeing Shanghai is a company of the highest world standard and the qualifications of its specialists meet Transaero's requirements in full. We truly believe that our co-operation will be productive and mutually beneficial," said Michael Korobovich, Deputy Director General, Head of Technical Department, Transaero.
