Kale’s cutting edge web-based technology will provide critical functionalities like electronic data interchange (EDI) messaging, auto billing, tracking and reporting for Aviance Ghana’s ground handling operations at Kotoka airport in Ghana. Here, Aviance Ghana processes approximately 50% of the airport’s cargo and therefore a robust, scalable system that could enable electronic data interchange and integrate with their internal applications was essential.
GALAXY has helped Aviance Ghana to achieve 100% EDI compliance, enhancing visibility and eliminating paper intensive processes, whilst enabling customers to track their shipments continuously as the system integrates with Aviance Ghana’s website.
Paul Craig, Managing Director, Aviance Ghana commented on the new software. “We are happy with GALAXY as it met our requirements completely. The new system has helped us automate our operations and move towards digital logistics,” he commented, adding that the handler hopes to maintain a competitive edge with the help of new generation logistics technologies.
Director of Kale Logistics Solutions, Vineet Malhotra, also spoke on the development. “Africa is emerging as the next-place-to-be for transportation and logistics industry and our solutions are witnessing rapid acceptance as we understand the needs of regional air cargo handlers. We are confident that our system will address all concerns that Aviance Ghana had with their earlier system and realize the benefits of GALAXY in the coming days”.
