Offering various security measures, including active alarm systems, anti-intrusion devices and constant CCTV, the facility can cater to high-value, vulnerable cargo, as well as perishable goods, thanks to its specialist temperature-controlled areas.
"This brand new facility represents for Alha a new start in Rome FCO," said Group CEO, Lorenzo Schettini Gherardini. "Rome FCO airport is an essential gateway in the Italian infrastructural system, where air cargo plays a crucial role and is recording more and more positive results.”
Schettini Gherardini added that the decision to invest in the cargo terminal was based on the demand from the local market for more reliable, qualified and effective services for specialised cargo. “It is our aim to support our customers meeting their clients' expectations and growing their business," he remarked.
Alha, which is TAPA and IATA CEIV Pharma certified, provides handling services in airports in Milan and Rome airports, in addition to the provision of offline and trucking services, boasting a network of 12 offline cargo terminals and more than 1,000 trucking connections per week.
