Air New Zealand unveils new expanded airport lounge in Fiji

At more than double its previous size, the new Air New Zealand lounge has opened at Nadi International airport in Fiji.

The newly expanded facility can now accommodate 140% more customers and offers its guests five different zones where they might enjoy a meal, rest, play with their children or attend to important business. A focal point of the new lounge is the café, which features a new self-service buffet and beverage offering.

Eligible for access into the lounge are Airpoints Elite, Gold, Elite Partner and Koru members, as well as Business Class passengers departing on Air New Zealand flights. The new lounge also caters for children with the inclusion of a “kids' zone”, complete with entertainment for young passengers.

The airline’s Chief Marketing and Customer Officer Mike Tod said that the inspiration for the lounge’s new design was based on the feedback of customers.

The revamped international waiting area is part of the Air New Zealand's wider four-year $100m project to develop the airline's lounge network and follows the opening of new lounges in Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, Hamilton and Invercargill.
