Air France KLM introduces passive container solution

Cargo Matters
Air France KLM Martinair has launched a new passive container solution with the introduction of va-Q-tec containers.

This new product comes as part of its Closed Cool Chain solutions, which comprises a range of active and passive container rental arrangements. KLM is confident that this new service can be easily integrated with a customer's current processes and will additionally secure cost savings for clients. The service boasts a greater choice in container lease options, with temperature ranges varying from -50°C to +40°C, guaranteed consistent temperature throughout transport for a minimum 120 hours, as well as access to a larger pharma network.

This service comes in addition to the company's current pharma portfolio consisting of Closed Cool Chain solutions, which comprises leasing arrangements for active and passive containers, and Controlled Cool Chain solutions, which offer three temperature ranges, namely 2-8°C, 2-25°C and 15-25°C.
