Air Canada Cargo says that electronic air waybills will become the preferred method of shipping cargo at seven of its international stations from next year.
They are Amsterdam (effective January 1), Paris Charles de Gaulle, Frankfurt (both February 1) and London Heathrow, Zurich, Milan and Dubai (as of March 1).
The carrier is urging its cargo partners to join the IATA Multilateral e-AWB Agreement and to transmit air waybill data before cargo acceptance at the terminal using IATA's EDI Cargo IMP (FWB) messages or via web tools.
