Aerolineas Argentinas and Orbital extend partnership in Brazil

Aerolineas Argentinas has extended its partnership with Orbital in Brazil with a two-year contract.

Orbital, which is majority owned by Worldwide Flight Services, will provide Aerolineas Argentinas with ramp and passenger services in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and security services in Brasilia.

It builds on the security contract the two companies have had in Porto Alegre and Sao Paulo for the last three years.

Each month, Aerolineas Argentinas operates 72 flights out of Sao Paulo, 58 from Rio de Janeiro and 18 from Brasilia, connecting with Buenos Aires using Boeing 737s.

Rubens Pereira Leitao Filho, CEO of Orbital said: “We can support their requirements due to our strong presence at these major airport gateways in Brazil and the respected ground handling skills of our local teams. We hope this will also lead to more opportunities to serve Aerolineas Argentinas and its customers at more airports across WFS’ global network.”
