AirBridgeCargo Airlines and Volga-Dnepr Airlines both achieved recognition at the recent Payload Asia Awards 2015, winning 'Best Overall Carrier of the Year 2015' and 'Charter Operator of the Year' prizes respectively.
The two airlines received their trophies at a special gala awards ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Changi airport in Singapore, attended by more than 250 senior executives from the air cargo industry. Volga-Dnepr Group, already celebrating its 25th anniversary, was awarded the 'Charter Operator of the Year' trophy in the Industry Choice Awards by a panel of 17 judges from the industry. AirBridgeCargo Airlines was voted 'Best Overall Carrier of the Year' in the Customer Choice Awards, which attracted 18,000 online votes.
To add to its list of successes, ABC reported a 28% year-over-year rise in tonnages carried in September, transporting a sizeable total of 42,480 tonnes of freight across its network.
