WFS adds to its cargo arm

Worldwide Flight Services has announced that it is to acquire Consolidated Aviation Services, the New York-based cargo handler, and one of the biggest names in freight in the US.

Financial terms surrounding the deal were not disclosed and the transaction is subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions. WFS caters to around 300 airlines globally, which includes the handling of over 4m tonnes of cargo and 50m airline passengers per annum.
