TaxiBot operations underway in India

A page in India's aviation history book has been turned, with the first operations involving TLD's TaxiBot.

A SpiceJet Boeing 737 was towed at Delhi airport on October 29, marking the arrival of TLD's technology on the Indian continent. A joint venture between a number of parties, including Israel Airspace Industries, now affords a solution to airports looking to cut emissions and reduce noise levels, as well as save on fuel.

KSU Aviation has been responsible for bringing this state-of-the-art technology to the Indian ramp and there are now two examples at Delhi; according to sources, further units may be on the cards for Mumbai. Users of the innovative GSE are will include Jet Airways and Indigo - and upwards of 40 in all could appear at Indian airports over the next four years, it has been suggested.
