The United Nations’ World Health Organisation (WHO) and the World Food Programme (WFP) have chosen Liège airport in Belgium and Accra airport in Ghana as logistics hubs for moving medical supplies across the world in the fight against COVID-19.

Ground handler Swissport is present as a cargo handler at both of these UN stations.
Swissport has been providing cargo services for the United Nations’ World Health Organisation and World Food Programme so that the aid supplies can be transported to the countries in need of help. Liège airport and Kotoka International have been selected to be part of an interlinked network that totals eight UN global logistics hubs that ship medical and humanitarian material across the globe.
