Swissport has signed a binding agreement with WFS regarding the divestment of Swissport's cargo business at Copenhagen airport to WFS.
The date of transfer of all business activities to WFS is set at October 1 2014.
WFS is a major player in cargo handling, with 3.5m tonnes of cargo handled yearly and therefore perfectly equipped to take over the cargo business at Copenhagen airport. The sale of the Copenhagen cargo business to WFS includes all business activities currently carried out by Swissport Cargo Services Denmark as well as all assets. Most of the employees will also move to WFS Denmark. The cargo warehouse at Copenhagen will be operated by WFS Denmark through a sub-lease contract.
