Shorter catering deals signed by Malaysia

Lounge & Catering
Malaysia Airlines has agreed two cheaper and shorter catering deals with Brahim's, as the national carrier looks to cut costs during its restructuring.

The separate contracts, which cover wide-body and narrow-body aircraft, are expected to save the carrier 20-25% in catering costs compared with the previous agreement, and are set to run for an initial five years. The contracts, which began on a transitional basis from May 10 with full terms taking effect by September 1, allow for a five-year renewal, subject to strict conditions. The previous contract ran for 25 years.
