SITA AirportHub is simplifying the way Scoot connects its central IT systems to the airports in its rapidly growing route network. The IT infrastructure is typically in place within three weeks.
Jason Chin, Vice President, IT, Scoot, said: “Scoot currently has an extensive network of 66 destinations across 18 countries and territories, and plans for aggressive growth are in place. It is vital that our IT infrastructure is connected among our partners and efficient enough to support our expansion. SITA is a reliable partner in efficiently getting airports connected.”
SITA’s AirportHub is unique shared infrastructure that allows airlines to connect all their applications and IT systems at an airport quickly and easily, without dealing with local telecom providers, adding flexibility to route management.
SITA’s network services will connect Scoot destinations worldwide to its reservation system, Departure Control Services and disaster recovery site and is already operational at more than 440 airports around the world.
Sumesh Patel, SITA President, Asia Pacific, commented on SITA's role in Scoot's growth, saying: "Expansion can bring challenges but SITA is delivering sophisticated communication network services to alleviate some of those. Our continued partnership with Scoot ensures that the airline remains agile.”
