Of the 66.8 million passengers, 42.5 million flew directly to and from Schiphol and the other 24.3 million had connecting flights at Schiphol.
The airport says there were 12 million unique transfer passengers who get counted twice as arriving and departing passengers in accordance with international counting methods.
45.3 million passengers flew to or arrived from a European destination and 21.5 million to or from an intercontinental destination.
The United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, the USA and Turkey were the most popular destinations for international travellers.
Schiphol has 301 destinations, of which 124 are intercontinental, which makes it the second-best connected airport in Europe and fifth in the world according to the ACI Airport Industry Connectivity Report 2024.
It was named the airport with the most connections to European destinations.
The number of flights to and from Schiphol was up 7% to 473,814.
Preliminary cargo data says the airport handled 1.49 million tonnes, more than 8% in 2023 and 10% more than in 2019.
