SAASA becomes first CEIV-Pharma certified facility in Peru

Servicios Aeroportuarios Andinos (SAASA) has become the first cargo handling terminal in Peru to be CEIV Pharma certified.

The Peruvian company, owned by Andino Investment Holding, provides airport services, including ramp handling, cargo services, passenger check-in and FBO services.

SAASA obtained CEIV Pharma certification from IATA on March 16 for its international cargo warehouse, located within the operating perimeter of the Jorge Chávez International airport.

Within the airport itself SAASA has 3,800 square metres of space for ramp equipment and maintenance, as well as 50,000 square metres for cargo storage, and 7,000 square metres of cold storage for perishable cargo.

SAASA's General Manager, Enrique Vargas, commented, "We are very proud of this achievement because it is a milestone in our aim to provide the best ground and cargo services in Peru. SAASA's team of professionals worked very hard to obtain the certification and we can say now that the work paid off."
