Real Aviation selects TLD to continue Brazil expansion at CNF

Brazilian-based ground handler Real Aviation Services today announced at the 9th Americas GHI Conference it has selected TLD as its preferred GSE manufacturer for its continuous expansion.

The new contract between TLD and Real Aviation Services involves the supply of diesel-powered TXL 838 lower deck loaders at Confins International Airport - Belo Horizonte - (CNF) in Minas Gerais, enabling them to handle 180 daily flights.

It follows their unique partnership that allowed LATAM Airlines to be the first airline to perform Brazil's first all-electric turnaround in 2022. At the time TLD supplied almost all the electric vehicles for the pilot project at CNF.

Rodrigo Martins, Area Sales Manager at TLD, said: "After being the pioneer of the first all-electric turnaround in Brazil, we became the preferable GSE manufacturer, and now Real Aviation Services has expanded with a new customer, a new contract with an airline, and they chose us to keep investing in new GSE and support its operations at numerous airports where they currently operate."

Adriano Bruno, Founder and President of Real Aviation, said: "With this expansion and with this new contract, it will enable Real Aviation Services to handle 180 daily flights, so it's an important operation at Confins airport. One of the main drivers behind our decision was TLD's after-sales service, their specialised technicians offering their expertise, and advanced tech units and because, together with this new sale, we will benefit from specialised training from TLD technicians."

With the rebound in passenger travel in the Brazilian market remaining strong since the pandemic, there is a notable trend in purchasing new GSE, said Martins, who added that Brazil was clearly a market for TLD.

He explained: "TLD is investing more in the market, building up on our after-sales service and spare parts together with all the other companies from the Alvest Group. With this sense of 'Togetherness' with TLD, Alvest Equipment Services (AES), Sage Parts, AERO Specialties - all of the companies together, we are able to provide a full service directly from the Alvest Group on a "one-stop shop" mode. And with this example of Real Aviation, we believe that our partnership with the local ground handlers will be more sustainable in the following years."
