The ARINC vMUSE system will enable Glasgow to support multiple airline applications running concurrently on the same workstation. This enables both airport and airlines to reduce costs while processing passengers faster and more efficiently.
The new agreement, won in a competitive bidding process, is the third contract Rockwell Collins has recently won at the facility. Glasgow airport also awarded the company contracts for its AviNet Airport high performance network services, as well as the installation and integration of common use self service (CUSS) kiosks.
Separately, Rockwell Collins has confirmed that Edinburgh airport has agreed to a five-year renewal contract for its Common Use Passenger Processing System. Moreover, Aberdeen International airport has signed an agreement relating to the installation of the company's vMUSE Common Use Passenger Processing System throughout the airport, whilst Cardiff airport has also selected Rockwell Collins' ARINC hosted Common Use Self Service kiosk solution.
Rockwell Collins has announced that Glasgow airport, through the Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) club, has signed an agreement to install more than 150 of the company's ARINC vMUSE Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS) workstations in the airport.
