Pharma.Aero was established in 2016, as a venture between Brussels airport and Miami International.
The idea behind the venture is that of reinforcing and promoting the shipping standards that are based on IATA’s CEIV-Pharma certification. The most recent news concerns the addition of three new member organisations to the group, which brings the total to 18 companies in all.
The new players are Envirotainer (which manufactures cool chain ULDs for the carriage of temperature-sensitive products); Forwarder Expeditors International of Washington and Montevideo Free airport. This latter addition brings the total number of airports belonging to the venture to seven.
