New contracts for Menzies in Germany

Menzies Aviation Germany has secured three contract wins and renewals across its German network.

In Hamburg, Menzies will handle an additional two daily flights to Friedrichshafen for Danish airline Sun-Air Scandinavia, having already handled over 700 flights for the airline during the 2018/19 winter season. Menzies also provides ground handling to Sun-Air at Oslo and Gothenburg airports, equating to a cumulative 1,720 turns per year.

At Munich airport, Menzies has been awarded a contract with British Airways CityFlyer, which will see the delivery of passenger handling services for the airline’s three daily services to London City airport.

Furthermore, Menzies is to cater to the increased passenger handling requirements of Ukraine International Airlines at Frankfurt airport, as the airline ups its services to Kiev Boryspill airport to two flights per day during the summer season (March to October).

Menzies Aviation Germany began operations in March 2017, providing passenger handling services at Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt and Dusseldorf.

Jamie Ross, EVP EMEA said: “It is great to see continued expansion across our European operations, following recent contract wins in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Prague and Amsterdam. Our German team work tirelessly to deliver our customers the premium ground handling service they have come to expect from Menzies, and these contract wins with Sun-Air, BA CityFlyer and Ukraine International Airlines are a testament to their hard work and commitment.”
