Rushlift GSE’s competitive nature gives it something of a lead in a market where budgets are constrained and this enables a structured replacement programme against ageing equipment, thus ensuring ongoing availability and reliability of equipment.
Rushlift has established a large footprint in the UK since its formation with the acquisition of the American Airlines maintenance facility at Heathrow back in 2013. Rushlift GSE has since been acquired by Doosan, the multi-national conglomerate with a vast portfolio of products, which ranges from forklift trucks to nuclear power stations. Doosan has ambitions to grow its operation within the UK market and expand into Europe. Working with its German partner Doosan Logistics, a manufacturer of cargo systems and ETVs, Rushlift GSE is now able to offer a complete end-to-end solution for cargo and ground handling operations.
A popular feature of the Rushlift GSE offering is its fleet management system, which is provided to all customers. The system provides complete fleet visibility and oversight round the clock. In addition, Rushlift GSE monitors damage and work with the customer to reduce or eliminate the associated expense and downtime. This results in increased GSE uptime, reduced cost and increased customer confidence.
With many years in the ground handling and airline industries Rushlift GSE management has been able to bring a wealth of experience to the industry, fully understanding the dynamics of the aviation business and possessing the experience and confidence to deliver a consistently superior product.
The passion for delivering safe dependable GSE, thus providing for safe and on time aircraft departures, coupled with excellent cargo and baggage delivery performance, runs throughout the organisation. Staffed by fully skilled GSE technicians, Rushlift GSE operates from two maintenance facilities at Heathrow. A modern 12,500 square foot facility close to Hatton Cross provides for heavy maintenance, repairs and full GSE refurbishment, whilst a two bay workshop situated airside at Terminal 3 provides for lighter maintenance, smaller repairs and HAL safety inspections. The ability to carry out HAL inspections airside obviates a landside transfer with associated security process times.
Breakdowns on departure do occur, which is why Rushlift GSE deploys three state-of-the-art fully stand-alone mobile workshops. These are staffed by experienced and accredited tradesmen who are adept at troubleshooting and who have the ethos of “safe and on time” fully ingrained.
Together with its main base at Heathrow airport, Rushlift GSE also has customers at London Gatwick and Manchester. These are both growth areas for Rushlift GSE as it seeks to expand its offering throughout the UK.
