New cargo route for Air Incheon

Air Incheon, the first all-cargo airline in Korea, launched its new freighter service from Incheon to Hanoi on May 3.

Air Cargo Services of Vietnam was appointed as the cargo terminal's handling partner.

This new Air Incheon route will offer six flights a week, using a B767-300 freighter with a 55 tonnne capacity: this was leased from ATSG in April 2018. The aircraft joins the airline’s existing fleet of three B737-400Fs and further B767Fs are scheduled to be joining KJ’s fleet in late August 2018.

The services to Hanoi are expected to bring a fresh impetus to the airline's development in the short term. Last year, Hanoi air cargo volumes increased sharply by 30% year-on-year, to reach 530,000 tonnes; and prospects remain bright for 2018, thanks to Vietnam’s strong economic growth in recent years.
