MIASCOR opens inflight catering facility at Kalibo International airport

MIASCOR Catering has opened a new facility at Kalibo International airport – its third facility in the Philippines, alongside two others based at major airports in Manila and Clark.

Expecting to serve over 1000 meals to airlines each day, the new Kalibo kitchen covers a 1,500 square metre area and will employ more than 50 professional chefs and support personnel. Operations will reflect the same quality and standards as the main office in Manila, as well as MIASCOR’s Swiss partner, Gate Gourmet.

Attendees at the ribbon-cutting ceremony included MIASCOR Catering’s General Manager, Rene Raemy; Kalibo’s Mayor, William Lachica and MIASCOR President & CEO, Tristan Dumlao, amongst others.

“We’re truly geared up for expansion and our additional facility in Kalibo is another testament of our competency in providing quality food and services to airlines,” said MIASCOR Catering Deputy General Manager Domingo Escolar.
“We are the only certified inflight catering company here in Kalibo. This bodes well both for Kalibo International Airport and all airlines operating in this city. We look forward to serving more airlines within the year.”
