Menzies in St Maartens challenge

The Menzies Cultural Leadership Challenge gets underway on November 25.

On November 25, K1 Britannia Foundation and the St Maarten Little League Baseball and Softball Association will partner with a team of senior leaders from Menzies Aviation, who have been selected to take part in the company’s Cultural Leadership Challenge, an event that combines charity work and personal development for the benefit of all the parties involved.

Menzies has run the Cultural Leadership Challenge over a number of years, tackling challenges such as the staging of intercity football tournaments for underprivileged children in India to the recording and release of a music single with children in New Zealand. This year’s Menzies team will be raising funds for K1, supporting them in promoting awareness of the tireless work that they do, and showing the rest of the world the true spirit of St Maarten.

Priya Thiramur, co-founder of the K1 Britannia Foundation, said: “We are excited to have the team from Menzies Aviation apply their energy and skills to create a lasting, positive impact on the K1 Britannia Foundation and the Little League Baseball and Softball Association. The programme they are on puts them through their paces individually and as a team, providing a physical and mental challenge whilst immersing them in the culture of the island. Previous participants in these Menzies events have described them as life-changing’ – and we are hopeful that, with Menzies’ help, we can continue to change lives on St Maarten for the better.”
