Changi Airport Group has launched the Changi Airport Living Lab Programme: this will allow the Group to collaborate with innovative companies and start-ups to develop and trial new technology solutions within a live airport environment.
According to CAG, with the support of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, the Living Lab Programme provides a platform for the Group and its partners, which include government agencies, ground handlers, concessionaires and security providers. The overall objective is one of co-creation, testing and the demonstration of new solutions designed to future proof Changi airport.
Amongst the areas that will come under the Group's remit will be those of automation and robotics, the Internet of Things, enhanced security solutions and smart infrastructure management.
