With effect from July 2016, companies can achieve a Lean & Green Award for sustainable logistics on a European-wide level.
A new version of the rapidly-expanding Lean & Green accreditation system for the logistics sector was announced at a Lean & Green Awards ceremony in Luxembourg on June 27. Aimed at larger, international shippers and logistics providers, the new Lean & Green Europe programme sits alongside the highly successful national Lean & Green schemes that currently operate throughout the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Germany and Luxembourg.
The new International programme is being supported by Lean & Green enthusiasts CHEP, AB Inbev, HP, Heineken and Unilever, all of which have expressed their strong belief in the new programme, which is aimed at fostering environmental collaboration and data sharing across national boundaries.
