For customers and partners, bundled central processes mean they have the same contacts and familiar procedures to follow plus new momentum for more effective support.

Production and sales of the two divisions will continue to function separately.

A key change is that customer service is no longer part of the sales department but reports directly to CEO Matthias Ruppel.

The centralised unit is managed by Head of Service Armin Habel.

Ruppel said: “This move strengthens our service offering as an independent pillar of our company. Our customers will benefit from even closer ties to senior management and a clear focus on service quality and fast response times.”

Habel has over two decades of experience in the commercial vehicle and transport industries, joining Goldhofer in 2024.

He spent 21 years with Volvo Trucks and held senior positions at Schwarzmüller and Krone.

Commenting on the reorganisation, Habel said: “Our goal is to position the service department even more clearly as a strategic factor for success, with a clear focus on customer satisfaction, technical excellence and fast solutions.”

In the reorganisation, Vice President of Sales Airport Technology Stavros Hatziioannau and Vice President of Sales Transport Technology Robert Steinhauser are handing over their customer service responsibilities to focus on market and customer development.

Hatziioannau said: “We will of course continue to work closely with our service people but the new structure will give us more scope for the further strategic development of customer relations and tapping into new market potential.”

Steinhauser added: “We are placing the service department in very capable hands. Armin Habel has precisely the expertise and customer focus needed to future-proof this business area.”
